Bags of Hope for Leicestershire Cares

Every year at Sytner Group’s Head Office we support Leicestershire Cares with their Bags of Hope Campaign.

The campaign is aimed at vulnerable, disadvantaged groups in the local community who are in danger of being left behind and missing out on the joy of Christmas during this festive season.

Historically, we have always collected a fantastic haul for Leicestershire Cares and our colleagues at our Head Office in Leicester go above and beyond. This year has been no exception!

So far this year we’ve filled over 65 bags with various items including children’s toys and colouring books, pens and pencils. Clothing such as hats, scarves, gloves. Food and drink such as tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolate. Even toiletries, hot water bottles and flasks.

All items donated are gratefully received and used to fill ‘bags of hope’, reusable tote bags, for people less fortunate in the community, some of whom may not receive anything else this Christmas.

Colleagues could also contribute monetary donations via a donation page to the charity and all donations received are used to buy essential and festive items to fill the tote bags which are then delivered to those most in need.

Last year Leicestershire Cares filled and distributed over 1,000 bags with the help of businesses in the community, local schools and community groups. This year they are hoping to reach even more individuals facing difficulty this festive season, turning despair into hope.

Sytner Group had been partnered with Leicestershire Cares for many years and supports a number of projects across the local community. Including dealership tours for underprivileged individuals, collections such as this, interviewing, in schools support and team challenges to name but a few.

We are exceptionally proud of our teams getting involved and engaging in the local community and ‘Giving Back’ wherever we can.
