Aspiring Manager Programme (AMP)

At Sytner Group, one of our key commitments is ‘Developing Talent and Building Careers’. This ensures that all of our colleagues, current and new have the opportunity to grow and succeed in their career aspirations.

 

For this reason, we have a dedicated Learning and Development team comprising of coaches, trainers, managers and coordinators who provide training, deliver courses and also support all of our businesses and the colleagues within them.

 

We were recently delighted to be announced as the winners of the 2023 Motor Trader Skills and Development Award and one of our programmes which contributed towards this win was our Aspiring Manager Programme (AMP).

 

This programme is designed for colleagues who have shown potential to succeed within a management position and have been nominated by their divisional team or head of business. The programme provides training over a period of 12 months and offers knowledge and insight into all of key aspects of management roles including the below;

  • First steps to management
  • Presenting with confidence
  • Managing workload effectively
  • Coaching and feedback workshop
  • Understanding our business
  • Understanding management
  • Employment practice and procedure
  • Recruitment workshop
  • Outstanding sales manager
  • Outstanding service manager
  • Delighting our customers
  • Employment law

 

Each cohort will navigate through the programme together and so colleagues will have support from their peers and be able to share experiences and broaden their understanding of different roles across different areas of the business.

 

The courses we offer have a huge focus on the Sytner culture, our commitment to being Famous with our Customers and enriching both the professional and personal development of our team.

 

When it comes to training events, every year Sytner and our Vehicle Manufacturing partners offer thousands of days’ worth of training to team members across the Group.
