Name: Sophie Priestley

Job Title: MINI Sales Manager

Dealership or Head Office: Sytner MINI Stratford-upon-Avon

Career path: Trainee MINI Sales Executive, MINI Sales Executive, MINI Sales Manager.

What drives you? I love managing a team, getting the best out of them on a daily basis is so rewarding. Every day is different and dealing with a team means I am constantly challenged, not only dealing with business needs but also the personal needs of the team.

What are you experiences?

When I first started out as a trainee MINI sales executive I was regularly told by female customers how pleasant it was to deal with a female and how they actually went out of their way to talk to me over my male counterparts. There was, unfortunately, the odd time when a customer would say they didn’t feel comfortable dealing with a young female but those comments were very few and far between.

Customers would also ask how I found it working in a male dominated industry, but I was always really proud to be able to tell them how supported I felt not only by my direct manager but Sytner as a whole.
