Sytner MINI Fundraise For Dogs Trust
08 August 2024
At Sytner Group we’re proud to continue our support of various charitable causes and encourage our colleagues to get involved with these initiatives and also events within the communities that we’re part of
Recently our Sytner MINI teams across the UK came together to participate in fund raising for Dogs Trust.
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity who care for and find homes for dogs who have found themselves in circumstances where they do not have a home. They also conduct a large amount of research to enable them to remain current, informed and aware of research developments within the fields of canine behaviour, welfare, epidemiology, human behaviour changes and veterinary science.
They also provide support and advice to dog owners around training and behavioural issues to support them and their canine companion to lead a happy life together. However, in order to provide these fantastic services, Dogs Trust rely on fundraisers and donations.
Colleagues at MINI Leicester, Nottingham and Harold Wood took on the huge challenge of cycling a distance of 790 miles on bikes in the showrooms in order to raise money for this great cause. This is the distance between our 22 MINI dealerships around the UK and so was no easy feat to take on! As part of this donations were gratefully collected from customers and colleagues across Sytner Group in support of their efforts.
This was followed by a volunteer day at the local Dogs Trust centre where several of our colleagues attended and leant a helping hand with daily care and maintenance and also participated in play and exercise with the dogs currently housed at the centre.
We’re thrilled to congratulate the Sytner MINI teams in their exceptional efforts in fundraising for a fantastic cause.
One of the many benefits for working for Sytner Group is that we give all of our colleagues and extra paid day per year to be involved in voluntary charity work and support our colleagues with causes close to their hearts.
